Jasmine E. Sessoms is the Deputy Director of the Mayors Fund for the City of Philadelphia. In this capacity, she oversees a budget of $15 Million of the City’s Charitable Giving Budget Line. Her main responsibilities include raising money for the major events for the City of Philadelphia, and managing the Mayor of Philadelphia’s charitable interests. Prior to joining the Mayors Fund, Jasmine served as the Employee Programs and Campaign manager for ACE Group. In this role, Jasmine served as the principal liaison for ACE Group to civic and nonprofit organizations and directed the company’s philanthropic support in the areas of education, poverty and health, and the environment.
In 2015, Jasmine launched two initiatives that support the Civic Engagement Community of Philadelphia. She launched Polanthropy, a lifestyle blog that focuses on Politics and Philanthropy in Philadelphia. Jasmine also launched She Can Win, a program that trains women who want to run for public office, and women who want to learn to work on political campaigns. She Can win has won awards and grants from Women’s Way Social Innovation, Barra Foundation, and the Awesome Foundation. Jasmine holds an undergraduate degree from Morgan State University in Hospitality Management, and a Master’s of Science in Organizational Development and Leadership from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. In her free time, Jasmine cherishes spending time with her husband, Jammar and their daughter Jae Harper. A proud member of Alpha Kappa Alpha, Jasmine works relentlessly to give back to her community and the world at large and is focused on contributing to the development of funds that will sustain Whine & Cheese well into the future.
