Brandon developed a deep appreciation for the benefits non-profits provide when he was only a teenager. Inspired by a college enrichment program for inner-city youth sponsored by the University of Pittsburgh, Brandon quickly developed a deep passion for charitable work. This resolve stuck with him through college at Howard University, where he regularly tutored DC school children. During law school Brandon, co-founded and served as the general counsel of M.A.N.U.P., a non-profit organization that is focused on bettering the lives of disadvantaged young men and women throughout the Washington, D.C. area. Brandon has received a Citizen’s Bank ‘Good Citizen’s Award’ as well as the EnVest Foundation’s ‘Top 40 Under 40′ for the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area. His professional associations include the Television Academy (Emmy Awards), the National Association for Multi-Ethnicity in Communications (NAMIC), and the Maryland State Bar Association. In addition to his work in the non-profit sector, Brandon has represented clients ranging from high-tech start-ups to multi-national entertainment businesses in a diverse range of transactions, including the negotiation of commercial contracts, providing advice on the protection of intellectual property, and a host of real estate development matters. Brandon’s passion for the growth and development of young people aligns closely with Whine & Cheese’s mission and will enable him to make meaningful contributions to the expansion of the network. A native of Pittsburgh, Brandon now resides in the metropolitan Washington, D.C. area with his wife and English Bulldog, Zeus.
